Boy's 3-piece Maori dance costume (Kapahaka Tama) features an authentic red, black and white design that includes New Zealand's national bird, the Kiwi, surrounded by the Niho-Taniwha pattern (Dragon's Teeth) and the Baskets of Knowledge. The simulated flax piupiu skirt (100% cotton) is made to imitate the genuine Maori skirt. It has an elastic waist with velcro closure to fit various sizes and the length can easily be cut to a shorter length if desired. The printed waist sash is lined and has two velcro closures in the back. 1" wide printed cotton headband (tipare) has an elastic strip in the back to fit all sizes.
